FERBERITE (Iron Tungstate) | Boulder County, Colorado, USA
Ferberite is a black, dense iron tungstate mineral (FeWO4) and the iron-rich endmember of the wolframite group, making it a primary ore of tungsten. Tungsten plays a vital role in the production of metal alloys, filament wire for lighting, ballistics, aerospace components, and more.
